The RX-V367 Compatible with Deep Color (30/36-bit) Transmission
The Yamaha RX-V367 supports the latest HDMI 30 - and color depths of 36 bits, improving the depth of 24 bits of previous versions. This "Deep Color" allows the delivery of billions of colors for a much greater precision. The colors are so vivid that seem to jump off the screen with perfectly smooth tonal transitions and ultra-fine gradations between colors. It also enables many times more shades of gray, for higher contrast ratio.
Three new volume controls
The RX-V367 has three features new volume. Adjusting the volume adjusts the volume of each entry to normalize volume across all connected sources. Initial volume lets you adjust the volume to a preset level whenever the receiver is on. Max volume lets you set the maximum volume of its own, to prevent "blowing" the smaller speakers (such as satellite speakers).
SETTING: A new level of operating ease
Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are configured by default display settings for DVD, listen to the recording, television and radio listening. Pressing a SCENE button automatically launches a number of operations that initiate play of the source controlled by the button. Other scene settings are also available, such as iPod Listening, XM, TV Sports Viewing and Action Game. Navigation and selection of the configuration is quickly accomplished by rotating the input knob and watch the screen display. Settings can be selected for use at one time, or may replace the original default settings. You can even change the stage name of convenience.
Audio Delay Compensation Keeps your experience on the track
The latest display devices perform complex internal processing, causing delays in the video signal. It is a small difference, but because the sound comes first, the viewer may feel that something is not natural. The Audio Delay function for adjusting Lip Sync matches the audio when the video output on the screen.
Surround Realism
CINEMA DSP Digital Surround Realism increase
Conventional systems of multi-channel audio playback based their sound on Dolby Digital and DTS, use of array technology and management to create surround effects. Yamaha CINEMA DSP is much more advanced, actually creating wealth realized independent sound fields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. With dialogue, music and effects ideally located in these separate sound fields, you will hear sound with accurate placement, smooth movement, the clarity and richness, and the amazing realistic presence. DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Yamaha adaptation of technology DRC automatically adjusts the dynamic range of sound depending on the volume that is selected. Adaptive DRC refine the parameters of dynamic range for low volume sounds easier to hear (more narrow dynamic range), solid feel, while maintaining high volume (wider dynamic range). And because our ears become less sensitive to high and low sounds as the volume decreases, which continuously adjusts these frequency ranges depending on the volume and level of input signal.
SILENT CINEMA and Virtual CINEMA DSP
SILENT CINEMA allows you to hear large-scale surround sound through ordinary headphones! This is a variation of CINEMA DSP technology that Yamaha developed that lets you listen in private to movies and other multi-channel sources for hours without listening fatigue. Virtual CINEMA DSP lets you enjoy the effects of CINEMA DSP surround sound without using surround speakers (handy for use in special facilities in some rooms do not have surround speakers). Can be used with the front / center / presence speakers or even with just the two front left and right speakers.

Receiver Fine; No Standard Size Stand for Speakers,
I've enjoyed the Yamaha Receiver but the speakers do not conform to any "stand" mounting (Yamaha wants everyone to place the speakers on a wall - not possible in an apartment). I've spent hours searching the web for a compatible stand without any success. Unless you're mounting your speakers to the wall I would avoid this unit. I tried to use my previous speaker stands (still in excellent condition) but could come up with no method to mount.
OK receiver; disappointing speakers, and late delivery,
Got this for supposedly good sound and one button scene feature. Speakers are small, light, and don't sound very good, especially for anything but a small room. Remote can't operate cable, including DVR. Delivery promised under PRIME didn't happen, and missed the weekend I wanted to set it up on. I returned it.
